To set or unset signals in the responsible CT office to inhibit automatic repayment or reallocation when making or amending multiple assessments at the same time, consider steps 1 - 5 below. The guide is presented as follows.

To set the signal to inhibit automatic repayment

1. If you want to inhibit automatic repayments for a particular Accounting Period (AP), use function MAPS (Maintain AP Signals) to set the Inhibit Repayments Only (Manual) signal to ’Y’.

2. If you want to inhibit automatic repayments for all the APs of a company, use function MRSC (Maintain Repay / Realloc Signals (Company)) to set the Inhibit Repayments signal to ‘Y’.

3. Make a note of why you set the signal and where possible, when you intend to unset it.

4. If you want to unset the signal to prevent the inhibition of automatic repayments for a particular Accounting Period (AP), use function MAPS (Maintain AP Signals) to set the Inhibit Repayments Only (Manual) signal to ’N’.

5. If you want to unset the signal to prevent the inhibition of automatic repayments for all the APs of a company, use function MRSC (Maintain Repay/Realloc Signals (Company)) to set the Inhibit Repayments signal to ‘N’.
