COM32070 | Background: features of COTAX: hover help

When the cursor rests in a field or on a button, a brief single line description known as hover help is displayed at the bottom of the screen. It shows the type of entry required in a field or describes the use of a button.

Examples

The hover help text for the field Enter Company Reference is ‘Enter the 10 character unique taxpayer reference in the format 1234567890’.

For the [Exit] button, it is ‘Click here to abandon this function and return to menu keeping the UTR’.
