1For IDA users check the specified use is one of the approved uses listed in section 17 of Notice 473
2For TSDA users check the specified use is the one listed in section 18 of Notice 473
3If satisfied that the applicant meets the legal and policy requirements set out in Notice 473 and this guidance, they will issue a final authorisation letter.\nNote: The actual TSDA formulation must be shown on authorisation letter not just a number reference i.e. 5% benzyl benzoate not TSDA 5. If the authorisation is for TSDA1 and/or TSDA5, specific goods manufactured and for direct application to the skin should be indicated.
4The EPT will draft the letter including any conditions necessary and issue
