An annual return should be submitted for each year until the termination conditions have been met (refer to ETASSUM11400); the termination condition is defined in legislation as:

Schedule 2 SIP: when a plan termination notice has been issued in relation to the SIP under paragraph 89 Schedule 2 and all the requirements of paragraphs 56(3), 68(4)(c) and 90 have been met by the Trustees (ETASSUM27180),

Schedule 3 SAYE option scheme and Schedule 4 CSOP: when all the options granted under the scheme have been exercised or are no longer capable of being exercised in accordance with the scheme, because for example they have lapsed or been cancelled and no more options will be granted under the scheme.

The company must notify the date of the final event online using the ERS services.
