Article 6 of the Social Security (Norway) Order 1991

RAs apply to Norway only.

With the ratification of the treaty establishing the EEA (see NIM33002) from 1 January 1994 workers would be subject to EC regulations. The EC regulations override the 1991 Norwegian reciprocal agreement but, except for Denmark, do not apply to the Continental Shelf.

Workers posted to the Continental Shelf may remain within the posting period set out in the RA.
