If regulations require that traders staff must wear safety items in particular circumstances, the trader must also provide similar items for use by our staff.

It is nevertheless good practice for officers to obtain officially-provided safety and protective equipment. Details of suitable clothing available for issue to officers working in oil installations are set out on the intranet in HR Policies / Health and Safety, or in HS-7 (Safe clothing and equipment) and the ‘Uniform’ Section of the Enforcement Handbook, respectively.
