The purpose of each Format in CL is shown in the table below.
| Format | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Prime Format | To start the transaction. |
| Format 1 | To enter income, allowances, deductions and so on. |
| Format 2 | To show you a computation of the repayment for your agreement. |
| Format 3 | To display the claimant’s address and agent details for you to check and if necessary amend. It also allows you to specify who will receive the payable order, that is the claimant, agent or nominee. |
| Format 4 | To enter the nominee’s name and address. You will only get this Format if you asked in Format 3 that the payable order be sent to a nominee. |
