RM3048 | Computer issued payable order: When to issue payable orders

From HM Revenue & Customs · Repayment Claims Manual

As Repayments Security Officer (RSO) you will receive files containing completed claims papers from Group Leaders, Inspectors and RE caseworkers. Keep these until you make the next issue of payable orders.

How often you issue them will depend upon the number of cases you repay. Some Districts will need to issue payable orders daily. In others one or two issues a week may be sufficient. Whatever the quantity of orders issued you should normally make at least one issue a week.

You do not need to issue the repayments in multiples of five or ten.
