SW04230 | HMRC Business Authorising Officer: Review Request to Add First Two Customer Nominated Contacts to a Room

From HM Revenue & Customs · Shared Workspace Business Manual

The request to add the first two Customer Nominated Contacts (CNC) to a Room is sent in by the Customer Organisation Representative (COR) SW04520. The COR completes the online nomination form, sent by the Business Authorising Officer (BAO), to add the first 2 CNC members.

The BAO identifies these requests as the BAO Activity Inbox will show ‘_COR’ as the requestor.

The BAO must be satisfied that the suggested CNCs are appropriate.

Examples of the checks that the BAO should make are:

  • Is the request to add 2 CNCs expected?

  • Are the email addresses appropriate to the organisation listed in the request?

  • Are the email addresses of the CNCs appropriate?

The Shared Workspace Service requires that the BAO must approve the two CNC requests together.
