Groups and permissions (CMSMG03100) work independently of each other and both:

• membership of a group

• allocation of the relevant role permissions

are needed for someone to be able to work on a guidance manual.

Being in a group without permissions won’t work and neither will having permissions but not being in a group.

This manual has yet to be updated for the interest restriction and changes to relief for carried forward losses introduced by Finance (No.2) Act 2017.

New groups

Once you’ve chosen a name for a new manual and done everything else within this CMSMG01400 section and you’re ready to start creating the manual within the Content Management System (CMS) you’ll first need to set up the Group for your new manual involving:

1. creating a group

2. adding members to a new group including:
