The departmental instructions for travel and subsistence apply to members of FIS in the same way as other members of HMRC and you must refer to them whenever necessary. You are entitled to be properly reimbursed for the authorised travel and subsistence expenses you incur in the performance of your duties. There is, however, an obligation on us all to keep costs as low as possible without it preventing us from carrying out our duties.
