SIOG6320 | Investigation work: confidentiality: general position on confidentiality

Investigators should be aware of the general advice on confidentiality held in the Information Disclosure Guidance. Confidentiality problems are far more likely to arise in SI than in other parts of HMRC because of the level of third party work undertaken.

The guidance in this section should be read in conjunction with the standard advice given to all HMRC staff as above.
