You must only use the Manage Finalisation Details screen in Function MANAGE FINALISATION where instructions specifically direct you to use this function to process the claim.

By using Function MANAGE FINALISATION to finalise or finalise and renew or renew or terminate the claim, the computer will process the claim by overriding any computer inhibitors, validation rules or alert signals.

Note: Before processing in this Function, you must ensure you have checked that you have a complete and accurate reply and that there is not an outstanding

  • Compliance signal

  • Appeal signal

  • Verification failure

  • Inhibit signal

  • Complex signal

  • Refer to SCO signal.

These signals can be seen on the first screen in Function MANAGE FINALISATION.

Where one or more of these items exist on the claim, you must have authority to override them from the specialist area dealing with it.
