TCTM04606 | Further disregards in the calculation of investment income: Compensation Payments to victims of National Socialism

The Tax Credits (Definition and Calculation of Income) Regulations 2002, Reg. 10(2), Table 4, Item 6.

When calculating investment income, disregard the following:

• Any interest on a payment of compensation to a victim of National Socialism if the payment is held in a distinct account and no payment (other than interest) has been added to the account.

Reference to a victim of National Socialism means a person who was forced to work as a slave or forced labourer for National Socialists or their sympathisers during the Second World War, or suffered property loss, or suffered injury or is the parent of a child that died, at the hands of National Socialists or their sympathisers during the Second World War.
