TTTC4100 | Compliance notices

From HM Revenue & Customs · Tobacco Track and Trace Compliance

If satisfied that a person is not complying with one or more of the requirements of the Tobacco Products (Traceability and Security Features) Regulations 2019 or the Commission Implementing Regulation, an officer may give the person a notice requiring the person to remedy the non-compliance.

A notice must:

  • state that the officer is satisfied that there is or has been a contravention of the requirements in these Regulations or the Commission Implementing Regulation,

  • specify the requirements that are or have been contravened,

  • give reasons in support of the statement referred to in sub-paragraph (a), and

  • specify the period within which the person is required to remedy the non-compliance.
