Where a previous automatic or manual write-off/waiver requires cancellation or amendment, select Reverse Document under Write-off/Waiver function and reverse the write-off/waiver and replace it with a new figure, if appropriate.

In cases where a payment is held in Unallocated Payments or OAS for the new outstanding amount, the user should apply a Dunning lock to prevent payment applications being issued (see DMBM131015).

If this is not done, the Dunning process will pick up where it had left off prior to the write-off/waiver. Once any reallocations have been applied, either the balance collectible is written-off/waived, or the Dunning cycle should be reset.

Write-off history is updated automatically for both write-offs and reversals. The history will also contain details of dates, reasons for write-offs and the amounts.
