Where either the Interest Exception or Inhibit Interest signals are set both late payment and repayment interest have to be calculated clerically. In these circumstances where an overpayment arises on a SAFE charge record and the system attempts an automatic reallocation that would generate an RPI Credit the reallocation will not be completed and an item will appear on the Clerical Interest worklist. This is an on-line worklist available only to staff on the SAFE Team.
