IHTM23145 | What to do on receipt of the VOA's final report: report endorsed ‘no question need be raised on this valuation’
From HM Revenue & Customs · Inheritance Tax Manual
What it means
This endorsement is made when the VOA (IHTM23002) is satisfied from information in his possession that
the value returned is reasonably correct; and
any likely increase does not justify the expense of inspection (IHTM23223) and subsequent dialogue with the parties.
Action
You should
act upon it as if it were an `agreed’ (IHTM23147) valuation; and
tell the parties that the VOA has ‘no question’ (IHTM23074) to raise on the value offered.
Should the property be sold at a higher figure, we may ask the VOA to reconsider (IHTM23162) his opinion of value.
