SW04115 | Roles and Responsibilities: Shared Workspace Business Single Point of Contact (SPoC)

From HM Revenue & Customs · Shared Workspace Business Manual

Each Shared Workspace deployment must have an appointed Single Point of Contact (SPoC).

This role must be maintained throughout the period that the Business uses Shared Workspace.

The SPoC is responsible for:

  • Receiving information on changes to Shared Workspace policy/guidance and sharing it with their business as they see fit.

  • Providing business impact on any proposed service unavailability

  • Representing their deployment in the Shared Workspace User Group Forum

It is quite in order for the SPoC to have dual responsibilities within the deployment e.g. the SPoC could also be the Business Sponsor or a BAO
