SW09140 | Customer Engagement: Agent Authorisation

From HM Revenue & Customs · Shared Workspace Business Manual

Business Units who intend to use Shared Workspace with agents must first ensure that those agents are authorised, in accordance with normal HMRC policy for their business area, to act on behalf of their clients.

Business Units will need to put in place a system to record those clients who can be dealt with through Shared Workspace and ensure this information is readily available to all relevant staff.

It is for the Business Unit to decide how to achieve this in a way that best suits their business practice.
