Term time workers are usually members of the non-teaching staff of educational establishments and include

• general domestics

• clerical staff (secretaries, clerks, librarians)

• laboratory workers

• nursing assistants

• art class models

• school bus drivers.

Note: This list isn’t exhaustive.

A holiday period for teachers and pupils isn’t necessarily a holiday for members of the non-teaching staff. This period is normally a time when term time workers aren’t required to work and should be disregarded when calculating the weekly hours.
