TTTC8350 | Multiple contraventions of the regulations

From HM Revenue & Customs · Tobacco Track and Trace Compliance

Where seizures of unit packs of tobacco products have been made under the following categories:

  • category A (fewer than 100 unit packs)

  • category B (100 to 299 unit packs)

  • category C (300 to 499 unit packs)

and where it is a second contravention, an Economic Operator ID or Facility ID may be deactivated for a period of6 months.

In any other case, for example where there is a 3 or subsequent contravention, for any volume of tobacco products, an EOID or FID may be deactivated for a period of five years.
