To take the appropriate action when a customer requests that a Prospecive Pack is issued to them, follow steps 1 -5 below. The Guide is presented as follows

For details of how to access any of the Employer Business Service functions, use PAYE057.

Initial action

1. Use EBS to access the Function Description Menu and select the ‘Prospective / Starter pack’ option

2. Select the [Prospective Employer] button

3. Use the ‘Search’ button to complete the Employer Name and Address fields

4. Select (tick) the ‘Prospective Pack’ field

5. The pack will automatically be issued by the HMRC mailing contractor
