Shared Workspace allows members to collaborate using computer files by uploading and sharing them within a Room.

Files can be uploaded to a Room by either

  • using the Add File method explained in the learning packages on Kalidus

or, for those members using the eRoom plug-in software SW07610

  • by dragging and dropping the file to the appropriate location.

Controlling Access

Under no circumstances should any information with a marking of OFFICIAL, SECRET or TOP SECRET be added to Shared Workspace SW03150.

Members are able to control who can access and/or edit the files that they upload using Access Controls SW07410.

File Size Limits

Files up to 9 Megabytes (Mb) can be uploaded to Shared Workspace SW07520. Any member trying to upload a file greater than 9Mb will receive the error message at “Unfortuneatley. eRoom was unable to create that item. because the file exceeds the maximum size allowed bt=y this site”.

Barred File Types

To maintain security a number of file types are prohibited from use with the service SW10100. Any member trying to upload a prohibited file type will receive the message “Unfortunatley, weRooms was unable to create a new file, because the site prevents you from adding file with this extension”.
