Using Function MAINTAIN WORKLISTS, you can amend the Action Date for a selected work item.

The Action Date is simply a reminder to you of the date when you next want to look at a case. It isn’t an instruction to the computer telling it when next to present the case to you.

You can also use the action date as a filter and sort item later on. For more information about filtering a work list, use TCM0140180.
