The fixed costs to be claimed on entry of judgment in the county court varies according to the amount of the debt, as shown in the following table. The fixed costs below apply from 6 April 2011.

Note: Fixed costs on entry of judgment can only be claimed where fixed commencement costs were claimed.

On entering judgment for a sum of money where the sum claimed (excluding court fees):

  • does not exceed £5,000, the fixed costs are £15

  • exceeds £5,000, the fixed costs are £20.
