The method of repayment can be one of the following

  • Repayment to card. The limit for a repayment of this method is £98,600

  • Payable Order. The limit for a repayment by this method is £150,000

  • BACS. The limit for a repayment by this method is £90 million

  • CHAPS. The limit for a repayment by this method is £90,000 million

  • Local Office Payment. The limit for a repayment by this method is £90,000 million

Note:

If the repayment method is either CHAPS or Local Office Payment the repayment cannot be issued through the SA system.

You will therefore need to use function CONFIRM MANUAL REPAYMENT following the issue of the repayment to record the following details

  • The actual issue date

  • The CHAPS reference or Payable Order serial number as appropriate

  • Whether notification of the repayment was sent to the agent
