COM141060 | Work lists: features of work lists: navigating to work items from a work list

From HM Revenue & Customs · COTAX Manual

Each work list allows you to navigate to various screens for a particular work item and then return to the work list.

You can view a work item by:

  • selecting the particular case you want to view from the main list and then selecting the [OK] button or

  • selecting the case you want to view and selecting the [Option] button. Then follow the instructions on the screen to access the function you want to use

If you select a case direct from the work list without using the [Option] button you are taken to the normal next action function appropriate to the particular work list you are working. From there you can navigate as normal within that function but once you select the [Exit] or [OK] button, you return to the original work list screen.

If you use the [Option] button to view a case, you can select the function that you want to use to view or update the case. Again, you can navigate within that function but once you select the [Exit] or [OK] button, you return to the Options screen within the work list.
