COM141070 | Work lists: features of work lists: normal next action function

From HM Revenue & Customs · COTAX Manual

Each work list has a normal next action function that is shown at the top of the work list screen. This is the function that you normally use to clear the case from the list.

You can access the normal next action function directly from the individual work list. Once you have used it you are returned to the work list so that you can choose another case to work.

Usually, you want to go straight to the normal next action function. However, occasionally you may want to use another function before, or instead of, the normal function used to clear the case.

By selecting the [Options] button on the work list screen you see a list of the most likely functions you need that are available from your user role. You can go to these functions, or any others appropriate to your user role, by entering the function code.
