If a beneficial owner, officer, or manager (BOOM) of the business:

  • Has reported that their main residential address is outside of the UK,

  • Does not have a national insurance number or,

  • Has a temporary national insurance number.

The authorisations admin officer responsible for the case will contact the business via a secure communication to ask for an original or copy of ID and proof of address. For information on acceptable ID documents see ECSH45798.

Deadline for a response new applications

The BOOM must provide these documents within 21 days, or the business registration may be refused.

If the 21-day deadline is not met, the case will be passed to an authorisations decision maker to take further action. Guidance on the further action that will be taken by a decision maker is available in ECSH45799.
