From HM Revenue & Customs · Self Assessment Manual

The IT Service Centre provides support and problem resolution for all HMRC IT and telephony services and systems.

To resolve the issue yourself online see IT, Phones and Data - index on the intranet where help and guidance is available on how to solve common problems, plus answers to frequently asked questions, and much more.

Alternatively:

Contact the IT Service Centre by telephone: Search for: IT service centre

Prior to contacting the Service Centre, please have the following information available.

  • Your computer name and asset tag – see how to find these

  • Any error messages on your screen

  • Whether any colleagues are having the same problem

  • Whether the problem is intermittent or continuous

Helpdesk advisers can fix many problems immediately but if they need to investigate your issue further or refer it to a specialist team, it will take longer.

For an update on a previously reported IT incident, you should go to My active items in Service Central.

If you’re unhappy with how we've handled your issue, you can escalate your Incident or log a complaint
