After finishing a telephone call it is vitally important that you record:
the name of the caller and their position
the address you verified if its necessary or there is more than one - the house number, first word of address and the postcode
the telephone number you have verified if there is more than one
who called
what verification checks you have completed
the nature of the call
any agreements made and
the next course of action, as appropriate.
