TCM1000203 | How to check for the 50+ element

Note: On 6 April 2012 the 50+ element of tax credits ended, irrespective of the length of time the element had been in payment.

Step 1

On the ‘Function Menu’

• select ‘Application’ on the toolbar

• select ‘Changes of Circumstances’ from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data - Applicant’ screen

• enter the customer’s NINO

• select ‘OK’. You will be taken to the ‘Amend Application’ screen

• select ‘Wk1’ or ‘Wk2’, as appropriate. You will be taken to the applicable ‘Work Details’ screen

Note: Selecting ‘Wk1’ will take you to the ‘Work Details’ screen for the first customer and selecting ‘Wk2’ will taken to the ‘Work Details’ screen for the second customer.

• there will be a date in the ‘50+ Start Date’ field if the customer is in receipt of the 50+ element.
