TCM1000363 | How to check if a postcode is in the correct format

Background
We need to check whether the customer’s and / or their partner’s (if different) postcode provided is in the correct format.
This is to ensure that the postcode can be checked to determine whether the customer and / or their partner live in a closed postcode area.
Step 1
On the ‘Function Menu’
select ‘Application’
select ‘Capture Current’ from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data’ screen
enter the customer’s NINO
select OK. You will be taken to the ‘Applicant 1’ details screen
select ‘SM’ from the toolbar. You will be taken to the ‘Summary Information’ screen.
go to Step 2
Step 2
On the ‘Summary information’ Screen, check if there are any entries in the ‘Repair Summary’ window with the reason ‘POSTCODE’
If there are no failures in the ‘Repair Summary’ window with the reason ‘POSTCODE’, go to Step 3
If there is a failure, or failures, in the ‘Repair Summary’ window with the reason ‘POSTCODE’
make a note of the details and the applicant(s) the failure(s) relates to
go to Step 3
