Step 1
On the ‘Function Menu’
select ‘Application’ on the toolbar
select ‘Verification Failures’ from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data’ screen
enter the customer’s NINO
select ‘OK’. You will be taken to the ‘Manage Verification Failures’ screen.
If any outstanding verification failures are shown, go to Step 2.
If no verification failures are shown, there is no rule 2 verification failure to clear.
Step 2
On the ‘Manage Verification Failures’ screen, check to see if there are any rule 2 verification failures.
If there are no rule 2 verification failures, there is no rule 2 verification failure to clear.
If there is a rule 2 verification failure
select the rule 2 verification failure
select ‘Investigate’. You will be taken to the ‘Investigate Verification Failure’ screen
Note: You must repeat the above for each rule 2 verification failure.
confirm the verification failure is for the child or young person you recently added or re-included
go to Step 3.
Step 3
If there is no rule 2 verification failure for the child or young person you recently added or re-included, there is no rule 2 verification failure to clear.
If there is a rule 2 verification failure for the child or young person you recently added or re-included, go to Step 4.
Step 4
On the ‘Investigate Verification Failure’ screen
select ‘OK’. You will be taken back to the ‘Manage Verification Failures’ screen
select ‘Change Verification’. You will be taken to the ‘Change of Status Reason’ screen
enter the appropriate reason in the ‘Reason’ field
select ‘OK’
when the message ‘Do you want to process’ displays, select ‘Yes’
select ‘OK’. You have cleared the rule 2 verification failure.
