Step 1
On the ‘Function Menu’
select ‘Application’ on the toolbar
select either the ‘Change of Circumstances’ or ‘Correction’ from the options available. You’ll be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data - Applicant’ screen
enter the customer’s NINO
select the ‘Latest’ checkbox
select ‘OK’.
If you are taken to the ‘Select Household’ screen
select the relevant claim
select ‘OK’. You’ll be taken to the ‘Applicant Details’ screen
go to Step 2.
If you are taken to the ‘Select Application’ screen
select the relevant claim
select ‘OK’. You’ll be taken to the ‘Applicant Details’ screen
go to Step 2.
If you are taken straight to the ‘Applicant Details’ screen, go to Step 2.
Step 2
On the ‘Applicant Details’ screen
select ‘Ch’ on the toolbar menu. You’ll be taken to the ‘Child Details’ screen
select the child that the change relates to
select ‘Correction’. You’ll be taken to the ‘Correction Child’ screen
enter an end date in the ‘Full Time Education End’ date field
Note: If a qualifying young person is under 20 years of age and has left full-time non-advanced education or approved training with the intention of continuing into advanced education, enter an end date of 31/08/XX.
Note: If the young person doesn’t intend to continue into advanced education enter the actual end date of full-time non-advanced education or approved training.
Note: If the customer has notified you that the young person’s earlier intention has changed and that they no longer intend to continue in advanced education, enter the date their intention changed.
select ‘OK’. You’ll be taken back to the ‘Child Details’ screen
select ‘OK’. You’ll be taken to the ‘Amend Finish’ screen.
Note: Don’t complete the ‘Amend Finish’ screen at this point, return to the guidance you were previously following.
