Step 1
On the ‘Function Menu’
select ‘Application’ on the toolbar
select ‘View’ from the option available. You’ll be taken to the ‘Key Data Entry’ screen
enter the customer’s NINO
select the ‘All’ checkbox
select ‘OK’. You’ll be taken to the ‘Select Application’ screen
go to Step 2.
Step 2
If the previous claim is ‘Rejected’, go to Step 3.
If the previous claim isn’t ‘Rejected’, the claim isn’t resurrected.
Step 3
If the received date on the rejected claim is the same as the date on the ‘Awaiting Award’ claim, go to Step 4.
If the received date on the rejected claim isn’t the same as the date on the ‘Awaiting Award’ claim, the claim isn’t resurrected.
Step 4
On the ‘Select Application’ screen
select the rejected claim
select ‘OK’. You’ll be taken to the ‘Select Application Version’ screen
select the latest version
select ‘OK’. You’ll be taken to ‘Application Summary’ screen
compare the Application Notes
if both sets of notes are the same, you’ve identified a resurrected claim.
