Step 1
On the ‘Function Menu’
select ‘IY Finalisation’ on the toolbar
select ‘Capture In Year S17 Notices’ from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry - Capture In Year Section 17 Notice’ screen
enter the customers NINO
select ‘OK’. You will be taken to the ‘In Year Income and Benefits’ screen
Note: An In Year S17 declaration is incomplete when the customer has not ticked the benefits field or has not provided an income figure in one of the income fields.
select ‘Continue’. You will be taken to the ‘Award Declaration’ screen.
Note: An In Year S17 declaration is incomplete when the customer has not ticked ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ in the SOC Correct field.
Note: An earnings amount is also expected when only Company Benefits has been entered in the income field.
Note: Zero is only accepted as an income figure for self-employed or other income.
Note: Both answers to the personal circumstances box have been ticked.
