Changes to previous version - new guidance
Step 1
On the ‘Function Menu’
select ‘Application’ on the toolbar
select ‘Manage Withdrawal’ from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data’ screen
enter the customer’s NINO
select ‘All’
select ‘OK’.
If you are taken to the ‘Select Individual’ screen
select the relevant claim
select ‘OK’. You will be taken to the ‘Manage Withdrawal’ screen
go to Step 2.
If you are taken to the ‘Select Household’ screen
select the relevant claim
select ‘OK’. You will be taken to the ‘Manage Withdrawal’ screen
go to Step 2.
If you are taken to the ‘Select Application’ screen
select the latest award version
select ‘OK’. You will be taken to the ‘Manage Withdrawal’ screen
go to Step 2.
If you are taken straight to the ‘Manage Withdrawal’ screen, go to Step 2.
Step 2
If you want to check if a Withdrawal Confirmation Notice (WCN) has been issued to the customer, go to Step 3.
If you want to check whether the current year (CY) award is provisional, go to Step 4.
If you want to process immediate withdrawal, go to Step 5.
If you want to mark for future withdrawal, go to Step 6.
If you want to confirm withdrawal, go to Step 7.
If you want to cancel a withdrawal, go to Step 8.
If you want to view Household Notes from the ‘Manage Withdrawal’ screen, go to Step 9.
Step 3
On the ‘Manage Withdrawal’ screen, a date in the ‘WCN Issued Date’ field will show that a WCN (form TC1013) has been issued and the date it was issued.
Step 4
On the ‘Manage Withdrawal’ screen, the entry in the ‘CY Award Status’ field will show whether the CY award is ‘Initial’ or ‘Provisional’.
Step 5
On the ‘Manage Withdrawal’ screen
select the ‘Immediate Withdrawal Requested’ checkbox. The ‘Immediate Withdrawal Requested - Date’ field will populate with today’s date
select ‘OK’. This will set a date in the ‘Household End Date’ field of 05/04/PY with the reason ‘Withdrawn’ in the ‘Household End Reason’ field and a Statement Like Award Notice (SLAN) or Statement of Account (SoA) will be automatically issued to the customer.
Step 6
On the ‘Manage Withdrawal’ screen
select the ‘Future Withdrawal Requested’ checkbox. The ‘Future Withdrawal Requested - Date’ field will populate with today’s date
Note: the ‘Withdrawal Confirmed’ checkbox and date field will also be automatically populatedselect ‘OK’. The claim is now marked for future withdrawal and any payment schedule for next year (CY+1) will be cancelled.
Note: This checkbox will be automatically un-selected when a withdrawal request is cancelled.
Step 7
On the ‘Manage Withdrawal’ screen
select the ‘Withdrawal Confirmed’ checkbox. The ‘Withdrawal Confirmed - Date’ field will populate with today’s date
select ‘OK’. Withdrawal is now confirmed.
Note: This checkbox will be automatically un-selected when a withdrawal request is cancelled.
Step 8
On the ‘Manage Withdrawal’ screen
select the ‘Cancel Withdrawal’ checkbox. This will also un-select the ‘Withdrawal Confirmed’ checkbox and clear any dates shown in the ‘Future Withdrawal Requested - Date’ and ‘Withdrawal Confirmed - Date’ fields
select ‘OK’. A warning message will display asking if you want to proceed, select ‘Yes’. You have cancelled the withdrawal and reinstated any provisional payment schedule for next year (CY+1).
Step 9
On the ‘Manage Withdrawal’ screen, select ‘Household Notes’. You will be taken to the ‘View Household Notes’ screen
select ‘Cancel’ will take you back to the ‘Manage Withdrawal’ screen.
