Step 1
On the ‘Function Menu’
select ‘IY Finalisation’ on the toolbar
select ‘View In Year S17 Details’ from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data – In Year Section 17 Notices’ screen
enter the customers NINO
select ‘OK’
go to Step 2.
Step 2
If the ‘In Year Finalisation – View IY S17 – Current Signals’ box appears
select ‘Cancel’
go to Step 3.
If the ‘In Year Finalisation – View IY S17 – Current Signals’ box does not appear, go to Step 3.
Step 3
In the ‘In Year Finalisation – View IY S17 – Current Position’ screen
select the ‘Details’ button below ‘Declaration Replies’. You will be taken to the ‘In Year Finalisation – View IY S17 – Declaration Reply’ screen
go to Step 4.
Step 4
If any of the income fields contain a numerical figure greater than zero, the income is regarded as in an acceptable format.
If any of the income fields contain anything other than numerical figures, the income is not regarded as in an acceptable format.
If any of the income fields contain more than one zero in the same field, this is not an acceptable format.
For example: an income field showing ‘?’ is not acceptable. An income field showing ‘00’ or ‘0000’ is not acceptable. Only one zero will be accepted as an income figure.
